Appraisal Fees and Services

Appraisal Fees and Services
My minimum appraisal fee for written reports covering one item is $150. I quote my maximum fee before any work begins. I complete most assignments within one week, depending on complexity and number of items. Before you leave, I review your jewelry with you to point out distinguishing features (especially in center diamonds) and again when you pick it up.

Oral Appraisals
I offer oral appraisals in some situations that don’t require written reports. One example is sorting through items to see if they are covered by a personal items clause in a general homeowner’s policy. Others include giving buyers purchase advise and providing a fair basis for distributing jewelry among heirs. My fee for this service is $75 per half hour, and billed thereafter in 10-minute increments.
